Broadlea party marks International Men’s Day

By Helen Fay

West Leeds Men’s Music group are holding a party celebrating International Men’s Day on Monday, 20 November at Broadlea Community Centre in Bramley.

The BARCA-run group, led by facilitator Jonathan Parker, meets every Monday from 11am to 1pm.

The celebration will feature music performed by the men, a mixture of cover songs and also original material that was written by the group during their weekly sessions. The group released an EP in June that included the original song ‘Well Again’, which featured lyrics based on the five ways to well-being. To listen to the group’s music, their Bandcamp page can be found here.

The party on Monday is open to all to come along to and celebrate International Men’s Day. It’s also an opportunity to find out more about the West Leeds Men’s Network groups. Food will be available as well as live music from the group.

Contact Jonathan at BARCA on Jonathan.Parker@barca-leeds.org for more information about the men’s music group and other activities.
