A former community centre site could be redeveloped after it is sold to raise cash for the council.
A plot of land in Bramley, previously occupied by Wyther Park Community Centre, will be auctioned.
Leeds City Council said the site at Hall Way and Raynville Road was surplus to requirements and costing too much to maintain.
A council report said: “It is recommended that the site be disposed of through public auction to secure a capital receipt for the council.”
Part of the land was already redeveloped into housing after the community centre closed in 2008.
The report said: “This redevelopment included the construction of Hall Way, which now traverses the central section of the former community centre site.
“The remaining land comprises open grassed space and is currently maintained by the council.”
The council said it would take ownership of Hall Way, currently an unadopted highway, once improvements works on the road were finished.
The report said: “Upon satisfactory completion of these works, the road will be automatically adopted.
“The site will not be marketed for disposal until these works have been completed and the adoption process has been concluded.”
The report said no objections were raised after ward councillors were consulted and the sale proposal was advertised.
It said: “The proposed disposal is expected to facilitate redevelopment of the site and support the creation of employment opportunities during construction and subsequent occupation
“It is anticipated the sale will be completed in the 2026/27 financial year.”
