Bramley Community Centre is set to host one of the town’s favourite sons, Jamie Jones-Buchanan, at a film screening this weekend, writes Keely Bannister.
Rugby star Jones-Buchanan will be on hand to answer questions following a screening of the film As Good As It Gets? – a sports film which follows Leeds Rhinos’ battle for a historic treble in 2015.
The screening will take place from 2pm until 4pm on Saturday, 29th February, at the Waterloo Lane community centre.
Entry is £1 and includes soup and a roll. All monies raised will go towards Bramley Elderly Action.
Transport is available for Bramley Elderly Action members who are invited to book via the office.
Mr Jones-Buchanan is Bramley through and through. He was raised in Bramley and is now bringing up his own young family in the town.

Jamie attended Raynville Primary School and St Peter’s C of E Primary Schoolbefore moving on to is today known as Co-op Academy Priesthorpe.
After becoming a local sporting hero with the Leeds Rhinos, he became a governor at Priesthorpe and a coach at Stanningley Sports & Amateur Rugby League Club.
He was recently honoured with one of the highest honours Leeds City Council can give: a Leeds Award.
