Residents on a Bramley estate have rallied round after a recently planted flower bed was pulled apart by vandals.
Organised by Broadlea Better Community Tenants and Residents’ Association (TARA) the morning after the attack, the community clean-up saw plants successfully re-planted.
Broadlea TARA’s Phil McConnell said:
“The plants have been re-planted and we had a brilliant turnout with three adults and quite a few of our local children helping.
“The children have asked if we can organise another litter picking event which in itself is wonderful for the local residents to see.”
A litter pick of Broadleas playing fields was held yesterday (Sunday) and further clean ups are planned.
