Fitness can sometimes feel overwhelming. From social media “fitspo” to endless workout plans that promise transformation in 30 days, it’s easy to feel like you’re falling behind. But here’s a truth more women need to hear: You don’t need to suffer to get stronger. You just need to find what you enjoy!
The best workout isn’t the hardest one. It’s the one you’ll keep coming back to. When movement feels like a chore, it’s only a matter of time before motivation burns out. But when it’s fun, freeing, or even just satisfying, it becomes a habit—and habits are what lead to lasting results.
Discovering Your Kind of Movement
Fitness isn’t one-size-fits-all. Some women thrive in high-energy group classes, while others find peace and power in solo strength training. The key is giving yourself permission to try different things without judgment.
Here are a few ideas to explore:
Fitness classes – Perfect if you love music and movement, and thrive off the social aspect of fitness. We have lots of different classes for you to have a go at. If you are unsure of what to try speak to reception.
Lifting weights – Empowering, strength-building, and surprisingly meditative. A though you may not leave being all hot and sweaty you will steadily see progress as the weights gets bigger and bigger. If you are unsure of what to do in the gym speak to reception about booking in for a personalized program.
Walking – Low-impact, accessible, and underrated for both body and mind. We do run a walking group in the spring/summer months.
Yoga or Pilates – Great for flexibility, strength, and mindfulness. We have a variety of classes to suit all levels.
It’s not about what burns the most calories—it’s about what makes you feel good. Instead of asking “What will get me in shape the fastest?” try asking:
What makes me feel strong?
What clears my mind?
What energizes me?
What am I actually looking forward to doing?
When you start focusing on how you want to feel, not just how you want to look, everything changes. Find what you love. Keep showing up for yourself.
