Bosses at B&M have denied social media rumours that the popular bargain store might be leaving Pudsey.
Rumours had been circulating on Facebook that B&M was to leave its Church Lane store in the centre of Pudsey – but a store spokesperson has quashed the speculation and said the company has recently extended its lease.
The spokesperson said:
“We can confirm that we are not closing our store on Church Lane – we’re committed to staying in Pudsey and have recently renewed our lease.”
There were also rumours that the groceries, furniture and clothing outlet was to open a new home furnishing store at the nearby Owlcotes Centre. But a spokesperson for B&M denied this. They told the Dispatch:
“We’re always actively seeking opportunities to increase the number of B&M stores but I’m not aware that we’re looking at this site at the present moment.”
