There are two free events for parents and children in the coming weeks at Pudsey and Calverley Libraries, writes communities librarian Matthew Stoppard.

Author Talk with Sarah Davis

Friday 25th January, 10.30am-11.30am at Calverley Library

Join us for a baby-friendly talk from local poet Sarah Davis as she shares a range of experiences with humour and honesty, from going into labour while working in a library to hazy late night feeds. Her book ‘Baby Daze’ was a recommended funny read in Mother & Baby magazine.

Free event, no booking required.

Monkey Puzzle – Baby and Toddler Yoga

Friday 1st February, 1.30pm-3pm at Pudsey Library at Pudsey Community Hub

Diddly Oms brings you a unique adventure based on Julia Donaldson’s Monkey Puzzle with yoga for parent and diddly one together. Using standard postures adapted to encourage their natural development, yoga for babies and children also creates balance, improves flexibility and increases wellbeing.

Baby Yoga 1.30pm-2pm – suitable for babies from 12 weeks to pre-walking

Toddler Yoga 2.15pm-2.45pm – suitable for children from walking to five years

Free event. Booking essential.
