Police are appealing for information after a man was shot in a suspected targeted attack in Armley.
Enquiries are ongoing following the shooting in the early hours of yesterday morning (Friday, August 3) on Tong Road, near the junction with Carr Crofts and Green Lane.
Emergency services were called at about 1.06am yesterday morning to reports a man had received leg injuries in a shooting in the street.
Police and ambulance services attended the incident and the man was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries which are not life threatening.
Detective Chief Inspector Chris Gibson of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, said:
“A number of enquiries are ongoing regarding the incident on Tong Road, which we believe was a targeted attack.
“Tong Road is a busy location and it is possible people would have been around still at the time.”
