Shopkeepers are being invited to a meeting to form a new business forum for Armley on March 18.
The meeting is being run by the new All Together Armley group which champions Town Street, MP Rachel Reeves and Leeds Citizens, an alliance of civil society organisations working together for the common good of Leeds. Ms Reeves said:
“It is vital that local businesses feel included in improving the place, as they do so much for local people and can offer so much in improving Town Street.”
One local trader told The Dispatch:
“It’s a good idea to give traders a voice and come up with plans to improve Town Street – but it’ll only be a success if a sufficient number care enough to turn up.”
Business owners are encourage to confirm attendance wth Ms Reeves on (0113) 255 2311 or email rachel.reeves.mp@parliamant.uk.
There are also plans to hold the inaugural Armley Festival in July in a bid to bring Armley residents and traders together.
All Together Armley, which is made up of local residents, has drawn up an eight-point plan to reinvgorate the area.
Why is it called ‘All together Armley’ when it only focuses on Town Street? What about other areas of Armley and other businesses? What support are they getting?
I think that what your doing for the local businesses of Armley is fantastic and if there is anything we can do to help do contact me.
