A commercial premises in Farsley could be transformed into six apartments, following a planning application submitted this week.
Applicant Kepler Holdings wants to change the use of existing commercial premises known as Tomorrow’s Office, Caross House, into a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments. The development, on Bagley Lane, involves no external alterations.
A design statement accompanying the application stated: “The building is not listed, not within a conservation area, and there are no known ecological or contamination constraints affecting the site.
“The premises benefit from direct access off Bagley Lane and are located within easy walking distance of local services and public transport connections, making the site well suited to residential conversion.”
Plans include seven on-site car parking spaces, electric vehicle charging points and cycle storage for residents.
The design statement concludes: “It represents a sustainable and efficient reuse of an existing commercial building, contributing to local housing supply without visual or environmental harm.”
The application falls under general permitted development, which refers to the rules that allow certain types of development, like home extensions, outbuildings, and changes of use, to be carried out without needing a full planning permission application.
The plans can be read in full here.
