A group of enterprising young people from west Leeds are holding an event tomorrow (Thursday) at the Lazer Centre in Armley to raise awareness of mental health issues.
There will be loads for children and young people to do including games, sports, dance, a cake sale and face painting.
The event is being run by Youth Helth Now, a group of local 16-17 year olds trying to raise awareness of the importance of physical activities and its links to mental health.
The Lazer Centre is a purpose built urban activity centre housed on a 17 acre site. Some of the activities it offers include: high and low level climbing, Go-Karting, BMXing, mountain and motor biking, survival skills, archery and bushcraft, as well as a full range of indoor and outdoor sports and activities.
Pop down to Lenhurst Avenue, just off Armley Ridge Road towards Kirkstall Bridge. The event runs 11am to 3.30pm.
