Leeds North & West Foodbank has been given a welcome cash boost of £60 from their local Skipton Building Society branch.
The money donated by Skipton’s Leeds branch will go towards daily essentials and cupboard staples as the foodbank was already seeing a 30% increase in referrals for support pre-Covid.
Janet Dutton, manager at Skipton’s Leeds branch, said:
“We’re delighted to support the fantastic work being carried out by Leeds North & West Foodbank and hope that Skipton’s donation will help the local community. Throughout the pandemic, it has never been more important to support local foodbanks and help all those going through the food poverty every day.”
