Do you have a few hours a month spare to play a key role in helping the West Leeds Dispatch grow and develop?
We are looking for someone who knows a little about figures to become our new treasurer after the current incumbent, Thom Day, stepped down.
The Dispatch is run by West Leeds Community Media (WLCM), a recently formed not-for-profit company. WLCM is run by a board of volunteers who are people living in West Leeds who care about where they live and about giving people a voice through community media.
What will I be doing?
We’re asking for our new treasurer to attend our monthly board meeting and look after the bank account and books of our organisation – there should be no more than three or four hours a month in total. WLCM is a fun and friendly group of people – we’ll certainly make you feel welcome! We feel this is a good opportunity for someone looking to add important skills to their CV and/or make a real difference to their community.
