Communities across West Leeds are getting together over the coming few days to host Big Lunches and Great Get Togethers!
The Big Lunch is the UK’s annual get together for neighbours. Every year in June since the idea began in 2009, people stop what they’re doing and get together with neighbours in a nationwide act of community and friendship. This year the Big Lunch is hosting The Great Get-Together which will take place over the weekend of 17 and 18 June.
The Great Get Together is inspired by Jo Cox, the former Batley and Spen MP who was murdered last year. The event encourages people to get together with their neighbours to share food and celebrate all that we hold in common.
Below is a list of some of the events in West Leeds – email news@westleedsdispatch.com if any are inadvertently missed out and we’ll add them as they come in.
