Warehouse Party hits right notes at Armley’s Project House

by Sam Gillinder

With the summer drawing to a close Club Classics hosted their “Warehouse Party” at the Project House in Armley.

The event was originally planned to be held outdoors but due to the weather on the day the promoters decided to move the EDM event inside. It was originally billed as a “Courtyard Party”

The indoor venue provided a backdrop that resembled nostalgic moments for many of the people in attendance. Most of them will remember the emergence of this type of music in the early nineties and the bohemian period that it was.

This electronic dance music performance would be a night to live long in the memory.

The audience’s anticipation was high. This type of party always creates excitement.

Five different DJs took to the decks during the day. There were also live PA shows from Duke and 2funky2. They all put on a perfect show to the party people in the audience.

Alice Bailey hit the decks first to provide the warm up to this much anticipated event. She got everybody dancing and the night was under way.

Next to grace the pioneer CDJ 3000’s was Gavin Lampitt. The event organiser took the momentum of the show into the evening. The euphoria in the air grew.

When Allister Whitehead took over the atmosphere was getting hotter in terms of the excitement and the temperature in the room with water being readily available for those who needed hydration whilst they danced.

Amber Sax added a saxophone element to the night’s show. Bongo Dave was on bongos.

The disco ball headed dancers added some stage presence.

Duke did his live PA performance of  “so in love with you”. Dressed in a white suit the audience loved it.

Rob Tissera did his set next.

When 2funky2 took to the stage to perform “brothers and sisters” the momentum of the evening was in full flow. The alcohol soaked atmosphere provided a great mood amongst the revellers of this party.

Gavin Lampitt stepped up again. Through EQ tricks and drops his set was wicked.

Has anyone ever had this much fun in their life?

Marc Leaf finished the night mixing some classic nighties tunes which just rounded off a perfect party.

Another show is planned by Club Classics for their third birthday in November.
