Volunteers in Calverley gave up part of their Christmas Day to deliver 151 meals to people living on their own.
53 volunteers from Rotary Club of Calverley, along with Russ and his team at Calverley Golf Club, delivered the meals as part of an annual initiative which has been running for more than 30 years.
A team of firemen brought the hot two-course meals out from the kitchen to volunteers waiting in cars to deliver the meals.
Calverley Rotary Club secretary John Procter said people were also each given a box of biscuits provided by Pudsey Grammar School.
He added: “I am sure you will appreciate this was a real team effort. Thank you to everyone.”
Before Christmas a Rotary Club collection with the Christmas sleigh outside the Owlcotes Centre in Pudsey raised £2,077.
Hereby I would like to thank the Rotary Club as well as the Pudsey Grammer School for the Christmas gifts.
It is much appreciated!
