You may have seen our recent posts in regards to the proposed refurbishment of Armley Junk-tion Cafe, writes Real Junk Food Project founder Adam Smith.
Well unfortunately, due to not ‘feeding the poor’ or ‘measuring the needy people’, it doesn’t look as though we’re ever going to be eligible for the £500,000 needed to create our dream cafe.
This is where WE NEED YOU!
Plumbers, plasterers, joiners, do-er’s, tea & coffee makers, builders, makers & shakers, volunteers and everyone else… WE NEED YOU.
We want to build the greatest cafe in the world, with the greatest community, and give back to the city of Leeds something they feel proud of and passionate about.
On Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th July the cafe will be closed.
We start at crack of dawn, and finish when the last person leaves. EVERYONE is welcome, young and old. Food will be available through out the day.
We wish to install love and humanity back into a confused world and we want the world to be a part of it.
The beautiful people at Seagull Re-Use have already kindly donated coloured paint to our cause, to give us a head start.
“Let’s REALLY feed the world” … Together!
PS: We’ve already started!!!
