Unleash your creativity as drop-in art sessions re-start in Armley

A drop-in art studio has reopened its doors in Armley – and organisers are encouraging people to unleash their creative side.

The Collective Art Studio runs on Tuesday sessions on the lower ground floor at Armley Community Hub from 10am-2pm.

Facilitated workshops with community artist Edek Thompson run from 2pm to 4pm the same day and there is also a dedicated session aimed at men from 4pm to 6pm.

Organisers The Highrise Project will also be running a range of digital art courses including digital drawing, animation, pattern making, photography, film and augmented reality for beginners.

Refreshments and wifi are provided and all activities are free.

Louise Atkinson, from the Highrise Project, said: “We are based in Armley to make it easier for people in the West Leeds community to access, but anyone is welcome.”

Contact the Highrise Project on 0785 6785904 or by e-mailing thehighriseprojectleeds@gmail.com.

The work has been supported by Leeds Community Foundation, 100% Digital Leeds, Local Care Direct and Leeds Libraries.
