Tong and Fulneck Valley Association: Get involved in greenbelt battle

Greenbelt campaigners fighting to stop thousands of houses being built in the Tong and Fulneck valley will meet to discuss their next steps this week.

Tong and Fulneck Valley Association is holding a meeting of the trustees on Thursday, November 9th at The Old Schoolroom, Tong Village at 7.15pm.

John Finnigan, from the association, said:

“This is a meeting open to all our members and friends, although of course only the Trustees may vote.  I do hope you can come.”

Last month’s annual general meeting the election of officers was deferred.

In addition to the routine business, there will be reports from the working group, and on meetings with external bodies, as well as an update on the government’s housing consultation paper which closes on 9 November.

The group, which held a protest walk in September, will also be planning for future action.

To contribute to the government consultation on housing numbers, which could have the effect of substantially reducing the numbers required for Bradford, go to the government website.
