It’s an annual challenge which has raised thousands of pounds for Children in Need – but this year’s Pudsey 2p Challenge is going to be a little bit different.
Last year’s event saw Pudsey folk raise more than £4,400 in 2p pieces, which were collected to make up a giant Pudsey Bear head on the floor of Pudsey Leisure Centre.
But the Coronavirus pandemic means fundraisers can’t hold the event at the leisure centre and have instead proposed a mini challenge encouraging people to draw or download an image of Pudsey Bear and cover it with two pence pieces at home.
People can then take a photo and post it on the Pudsey 2p Challenge Facebook group, then add up the coins and either save them for a bigger and better 2p Challenge in 2021 or donate to a local Children in Need collection.
The Pudsey 2p Challenge Facebook page can be found here.
