Swallow Hill pupils serve Christmas lunch to elderly

Swallow Hill Community College and Armley Helping Hands have enjoyed a close relationship for many years, writes Jordan Compston.

Our work together features intergenerational learning where each year some of our year 7 students enjoy a project which brings together younger and older people to talk about their experiences of life, the local community, social issues and education.

Each Christmas our young people serve a three-course Christmas lunch to the ladies and gentlemen who attend this local charity for older people in Leeds 12 and 13.
