Stanningley Lidl: Town Street to close for roadworks

Resurfacing works connected to the new Lidl development on the former Belgrave Works site in Stanningley will lead to a road closure.

Leeds City Council is proposing to close the B6157 Town Street, Stanningley, between its junction with Vernon Place and 30 metres east of its junction with Grangefield Road.

The proposed road closure will take place on Sunday 29th January 2017.

Diversion routes – pictured above – will be in place on the day and bus services will also be re-routed during the road closure.

Residents and local businesses in the area will be notified by letter and advanced warning signs have been placed on site to notify other road-users of the closure.

Fresh plans for the wider Belgrave Retail Park development in Stanningley featuring an extra – ninth – store were submitted by developers in November.
