Seven things you need to know about Pudsey in Bloom as they welcome new volunteers

Volunteers from Pudsey in Bloom make a difference by helping to maintain plants and displays around Pudsey. As they welcome new volunteers, here are seven things you might not know about the group:

  1. They are all volunteers, and their reward is seeing the plants and displays making Pudsey look blooming good!
  2. They look after barrier troughs, planters, and beds across Pudsey.
  3. Volunteers are committed to caring for and conserving the environment.
  4. They encourage the local community to take a pride in their neighbourhood 
  5. They are a group of about 20 people, men and women who vary in age and are in need of volunteers to help keep up the work across the town centre and beyond.
  6. The group raises raise money through businesses sponsoring the troughs and displayWe are a self funded group. They also raise money by applying for grants where available, sponsorship and public donations. More details here.
