Scaled-back plans for 19 apartments, with a small coffee takeaway and undercroft parking, near New Pudsey Station have been submitted by developers.
WLD reported last November on proposals for 34 flats off Woodlands Road, close to New Pudsey Station, which had drawn concern from neighbours over its size.
The revised proposals say the flats would be in a part six storey and part four storey block. Access has been moved from Woodlands Road to Owlcotes Lane.
Councillor Peter Carlill (Lab, Calverley & Farsley) said: “As previously, I am supportive of development on this site, as it is a piece of brownfield land in need of improvement. Smaller properties and flats are also very much in demand in the area.
“That said, this is a sizeable development on a small plot of land among existing residential properties and would have a significant impact on nearby dwellings so the changes so far are positive.
“I will continue reviewing the plans as they come in and would ask nearby residents to add their thoughts.”
