Road users have been warned about roadworks in the Wyther Lane/Broad Lane area which are causing delays.
The works by Northern Powergrid, started last week and are ongoing until tomorrow (Tuesday, 9 July).
Community reporter Noelle Williamson was caught up in the traffic delays this morning . She said: “The 49 to town had to double back to the St Gemma’s shop, and back onto Waterloo Lane because of a road closure that no-one knew about. We’ve just passed another bus, going the other way, and he said it’s hopeless.
“The Broad Lane approach to Kirkstall Bridge junction is closed off so no access from Redcote Lane either. Leeds Bradford Road open.”
A tweet by First West Yorkshire this morning said the work was affecting the 49 and 91 services. It said: “Broad Lane is closed due to works. To Bramley/Pudsey Bus Station diverting via Kirkstall Bridge, Leeds Bradford Road, Broadlea Hill. To Monkswood Gate/Halton Moor via Broadlea Hill, Leeds Bradford Road, Kirkstall Bridge.”
