Move over Worzel Gummidge! The were some amazing scarecrows to be seen across Pudsey at the weekend’s annual Pudsey Scarecrow Festival.
Volunteers from Pudsey in Bloom had an enjoyable day judging the many wonderful scarecrows entered in this years festival. There were 26 brilliant scarecrows dotted in and around Pudsey – and the judges congratulated everyone who entered the competition.
A spokesperson said: “As always, it proved so difficult to decide the winners, we got round the whole display and saw every scarecrow on the list of entries and after debating the merits of each one we finally decided on our top three.
“Congratulations to everyone who entered and contributed to our annual Scarecrow festival, and thanks to everyone who helped organise the event.”
The winners were:
1st: Wallace & Gromit (who stole the Pudsey pasty), Joy Good.
2nd: Monster Bees, Julie & David Godfrey.

3rd: Very Hungry Caterpillar by the children at Cliffe House Nursery.

Live music was playing all day from the Pudsey Park bandstand, alongside delicious food and creative craft stalls.
