Improvement work to Pudsey Park is nearing completition.
The work has included entrance, footpath and picnic area improvements costing £57,000 and funded by money that developers of larger sites pay to the Council to reduce the impact of their developments.
New gates near to the entrance near to the local bus station have been erected to match existing gates in the park, including the building of intricate stone pillars and specialist fabricated gates.
The main footpath has been widened to improve access for all users and reduce congestion throughout the park, complemented by a redesign of the whole walkway, and a new footpath has also been created to allow safer access.
Finally, the current picnic area has been extended with the development of an additional picnic zone that doubles the number of seats available for visitors to the park to enjoy the facilities nearby, including the play area and kiosk.
