Pudsey MP Stuart Andrew backs Theresa May in ‘no confidence’ vote

Pudsey MP Stuart Andrew has tweeted his support for Prime Minister Theresa May, ahead of facing a vote of confidence in her leadership from Tory MPs.

Mr Andrew took to social media just hours after 48 Conservative MPs called for a confidence vote to be held, hitting out at their ‘indulgent naval gazing’.

He said:

“The PM will have my support this evening. We have to get on with the job and not this self indulgent navel gazing.”

The beleaguered Prime Minister, under pressure over her Brexit deal , has vowed to contest the vote “with everything I have got”.
