Pudsey Conservative MP Stuart Andrew has today been appointed as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).
Mr Andrew had previously been minister for justice before the arrival of Prime Minister Liz Truss in August.
The Announcement was made on social media today:
Mr Andrew was previously Minister of State at the Ministry of Justice between 8 July 2022 and 7 September 2022.
He was Housing Minister from 8 February 2022 to 6 July 2022 and he was Deputy Chief Whip from 13 February 2020 to 8 February 2022.
A Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State is the lowest of three tiers of government minister in the UK government, immediately junior to a Minister of State, which is itself junior to a Secretary of State.
