A community project is launching its Christmas collection for Pudsey, Farsley, Calverley, Swinnow, Rodley, Woodhall and Tyersal – and organisers are inviting everyone to join in.
The volunteer-led Pudsey Community Project was set up in March to help people in need during lockdown.
The project is collecting:
- Christmas sweets and treats (selection boxes, anything festive or special)* knitted or crocheted blankets for older people
- Children’s toys, new and unwrapped please (age groups birth to 1, 1-4, 5-7, 8+, teenage – don’t forget books, jigsaws, puzzle books and educational toys; unwrapped so that parents can wrap their own children’s gifts and see them first).
- Festive food for family hampers (not just mince pies, but anything you might want in a Christmas hamper, from nuts and stollen to frozen roasties and Christmas crackers!)
- Cash donations towards Christmas meals for vulnerable families and older people – either at our donation sessions by cash or card or simply by following this link.
The project is open for donations at Pudsey Parish Church any Monday to Saturday 10am-12noon.
