Police have confirmed the death of a person at Bramley Station on New Year’s Day is not being treated as suspicious.
Police were called to the railway station at 8.08pm yesterday (Thursday, January 1), following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
Paramedics also attended, but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
A number of services on the route, via Bramley and New Pudsey, were cancelled yesterday evening.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “Officers were called to Bramley railway station at 8.08pm yesterday (January 1) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
