An online talk will highlight the past, present and future of historic Kirkstall Forge.
Organised by civic watchdog Leeds Civic Trust, the free event will help people learn about the history of this West Leeds landmark and developer CEG’s multi-million pound plans to redevelop this extensive riverside site.
The talk will be lead by former Kirkstall councillor Lucinda Yeadon, who now works for CEG, and Howard Metcalf.
It will highlight how the site will be transformed in coming years with offices, new homes and a wealth of complementary facilities.
Kirkstall Forge has been of industrial importance since the 12th century. With close ties to the Monks at Kirkstall Abbey, the Forge was the longest continually used industrial site in the UK until it closed its doors in 2003.
The event is on Monday, 29 March 2021 at 7pm. Book your place here.
