Volunteers in West Leeds will be spending their Saturday creating a new glade in woodland – and you are cordially invited to join them!
Newlay and Whitecote Residents’ Association (NAWRA) have organised a Glade Creation event in Bramley Fall Woods which is designed to encourage wildlife by offering different patches of light and shade in the woods.
The event starts at 10am on Saturday, 20th January, at the entrance to Hunters Greave on Pollard Lane. Parking is available in the Abbey Inn car park.
A group spokesperson said:
“Volunteers of all ages are welcome and refreshments will be available. The event will involve the supervised use of hand tools and all equipment will be provided. Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear for the weather.”
Everyone attending will get a bag of crocus bulbs as a late Christmas present.
