The Green Party took to the road again on New Year’s Day to run its free hourly New Year’s Day bus service this year.
Farnley and Wortley councillors David and Ann Blackburn organised the minibus, which was sponsored by local businesses.
Cllr Ann Blackburn said:
“Our voluntary drivers took on passengers old and new. In all 153 passenger journeys were logged, plus one small dog.”
The bus ran hourly from Armley Town Street, through Farnley and Wortley, to City Square and reverse of the route.
Volunteers have been running the annual service for more than 20 years.
