Youngsters at New Farnley Cricket Club have welcomed new sponsors to support the U15s team.
Prashant Pandya, owner of Nisa Cross Lane, has agreed to sponsor the U15s side for the coming 2025 season.
Mr Pandya said: “Our business has been an integral part of the Farnley community and we believe that investing in the local community and local youth is very important for us.
“Enabling our youth community taking part in the sports activities is our main objective and we have few resources available in our neighborhood such as New Farnley Cricket Club, Farnley Falcons Rugby Club, Old Farnley Football Club, Lawns Park Primary School and Ryecroft Academy where our store have donated in the last two years through Making A Difference Locally charity of Nisa Retail Limited.
“This will also ease the pressure from parents when they have to pay for their kids to participate in any sports activities or get a new school kit for the pupils.”
New Farnley CC facilities and communications co-ordinator, Noel Bullock, welcomed the support. He said:
“New Farnley Cricket Club is an asset to the local community with a burgeoning junior section giving young people the opportunity to play cricket, have fun and make friends.
“Our aim is to improve the health of the inhabitants within the Farnley area and increase the range of activities available for young people and families by persuading them to come and play cricket.
“We rely on the support of local businesses and are extremely grateful to Prashant Pandya and Nisa Local Cross Lane for their very generous sponsorship.”
