Free activities for all are on offer at the newly named West Leeds Activity Centre this weekend.
Visitors to Lenhurst Avenue centre, formally known as Armley Lazer Centre, will be able to take part in a variety of fun free activities at an open day on Saturday, 15 October, between 12pm and 4pm.
Activities will include motorcycling, a motorised buggy, sumo wrestling, Tug ‘O’ War, go karting, waterslide, assault course, touch and pass rugby and climbing walls.
Special guests from Leeds Rhinos and Leeds Rhinos Foundation will also be attending the open day event with their skill zone passing cage and rugby league skill sessions as well as guest appearances from squad players and Ronnie the Rhino.
Councillor Lisa Mulherin, executive member for children and families said
“We want as many people as possible to come and see what the centre is all about and have a go at some of these fun and exciting activities.
“The open day will be fantastic for all the family and an opportunity for people to gain an understanding of the range of different activities we provide.”
The West Leeds Activity Centre delivers a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities, including high and low level climbing, Go-Karting, BMXing, mountain and motor biking, survival skills, archery and bushcraft, as well as a full range of indoor sports and activities and camping facilities.
The 17-acre outdoor activity on the edge of Gotts Park and Golf Course in Armley also specialises in team-building activities for schools and youth groups as well as corporate away days, children’s birthday parties and private group events.
