A family fun day – “Summer’s Day” – is being held on Sunday August 12th 2018, at New Farnley Community Centre in memory of little Summer Rose Thompson, writes Judith Hurd.
Summer passed away at the age of two in November 2017 after fighting a very brave battle against acute myeloid leukaemia.
All proceeds made on the day will be split between two charities who have given such valuable support to the Thompson family – Candlelighters and the Noonan Syndrome Association.
There will be lots to do on the day, including fayre games, tombola, raffle, face painting, balloon modelling, stalls, bouncy castles, and a BBQ, to name but a few!
Come down to enjoy this community day whilst helping two fantastic charities in the process. It starts at 11 o’clock and ends at 3 in the afternoon. We look forward to seeing you there!
New Farnley Community Centre is on Low Moor Side, LS12 5EA.
