Another Saturday morning parkrun – and another fun event in Bramley Park.
Bramley parkrun hosted a Run Leeds event in aid of the Lords Mayor’s appeal ‘Just One Run’.
Leeds Hospital Charity staff were on hand to discuss their fundraising for vital support for patients on the Renal Unit in Leeds hospitals. Ernie, the Leeds Cares charity mascot, made a special appearance too.
To donate to the appeal, please follow this link.
Our 37 awesome volunteers ensured that 124 athletes who ran, jogged and walked across the finish line felt supported.
We welcomed an awesome eight first timers. We had seven inspirational people who completed their second parkrun.
A total of 16 different running clubs were represented and 13 people gained a personal best.
Organisers congratulated Tom Dickson on completing his 249th parkrun. Visitors came from from Bradford, Liverpool and Oldham on their parkrun journey.
Organisers are now buddying up new volunteers. If you would like to volunteer please let one of the team know. Volunteering is a great way to connect with your local community and you can be shown what to do on the day.
If you are interested in volunteering four times a year, every six weeks or every week – a little and often volunteering will help us keep things running smoothly please let us know plus you can claim volunteer milestone T-shirts at 25, 100, 250 and 500 completed events.
