Some of the world’s finest triathletes will descend on Leeds this weekend for the World ITU Triathlon Series.
The event, back in Leeds for a fourth year running, sees athletes swim, run and cycle from Roundhay Park into Leeds city centre.
The event will particularly affect people travelling on Sunday, June 9. Road closures will cause disruption around Roundhay, Oakwood, Harehills, Moortown, Meanwood, Headingley, Burley and the city centre.
On Sunday afternoon, the triathletes will come through Headingley and Burley.
The following roads will be closed between 11am and 6pm:
– North Lane
– Cardigan Road
– Burley Road
– Burley Street
Kirkstall Road is unaffected by closures, but is a suggested alternative route and may be busier than normal.
Details of changes to bus routes can be found here.
