Kirkstall: Plans for new community space submitted

Plans for a new community space at Kirkstall Bridge Shopping Park have been submitted.

Community organisation Kirkstall Valley Development Trust (KVDT) want to use an empty unit at Kirkstall Bridge and temporarily use it as a community shop and for exhibitions and meetings.

KVDT’s Chris Hill says the unit will be promoting trust projects including the Abbey Mills Community Hub and social housing, Aireshare sustainability micro grants and plans to set up a Kirkstall Valley Farm.

The Trust aims to take over the former Motorbility Unit at the front of the shopping park, next to Puregym.

The plans can be viewed here.
