This year’s Kirkstall Festival is set to draw the crowds thanks to a mix of the annual grand parade, activities, stalls, food, drink, entertainment and a fun fair.
The 45th annual Kirkstall Festival will be held in the idyllic grounds of the 12 century Kirkstall Abbey on Saturday, 13 July, and is open from 11am until 5pm.
The festival has now been a mainstay in the Leeds social calendar since 1981, attracting up to 25,000 people of all ages each year to the Abbey grounds. It’s run entirely by volunteers.
Parade times
The Festival parade will be leaving Hesketh Road at 11am – an hour earlier than last year – to arrive at the Abbey by around 11.45am
There is likely to be heavy traffic and extra delays in the area between 11am and 12pm due to the procession.
