The newly-formed Friends of Kirkstall Abbey Park (FoKAP) group is holding its first clean-up event later this month.
The group, which was formed at a public meeting earlier this year, is made up of local residents who will be tidying and weeding the walled garden next to the Gatehouse café.
To join the friendly group of people who are passionate about the Abbey, the first work day will be Saturday, 22 June 2019, from 10am-2pm, meeting at the garden.
People are welcome to just turn up, but if you get the chance e-mail friendsofkap@gmail.com so the group knows how much gardening equipment to bring.
WLD reported on the foundation of the group here.
