A popular West Leeds restaurant is organising two Harvest Festival fundraisers this September to support the annual Farsley Lantern Parade.
Grumpy’s Wood Fired Pizza in Sunny Bank Mills, Farsley, has announced a Harvest Festival Fundraiser on Friday 25 September 2026 to support this year’s Farsley Lantern Parade.Â
The family-friendly event will take place at St John’s Church in Farsley from 3.30pm to 5.30pm and will feature stalls, competitions, food, drink, captivating interactive storytelling with local performer Stories with Liv and sing-along fun.

Proceeds from the event will directly support the parade, which is scheduled to take place during Farsley’s Lights Switch On; Wednesday, 26 November 2026 at 6.15pm, starting from Farsley Library.
Grumpy’s has been a supporter of the Lantern Parade, with 2026 set to be the 4th year that they have facilitated the creation of the huge illuminated willow puppets
“It’s an amazingly wholesome community project,” said Alex Rogerson, Grumpy’s co-owner.
Following the family fundraiser, Grumpy’s will host a Drunk Assembly Sing-Along at St John’s Church in Farsley on the same evening, Friday 25, September 2026 at 7pm.Â

This lively event will be led by a 30 piece performance by the Farsley Love Pop Choir, promising an entertaining night full of sing-along fun and community spirit.Â
Expect a licensed bar, wood fired pizza and a night of nostalgic primary school bangers and pop anthems!
