Green light for houses in former Bramley pub car park

Plans for two new houses in the car park of a Bramley pub which closed many years ago have been approved by Leeds City Council planners.

Applicant CW Langton Ltd wants to build a pair of three-bedroom semi-detached houses in the car park of the former Globe pub, off Broad Lane.

The Globe became Full Circle funeral directors three years ago.

There were two objections to the proposals, with concerns including a possible overlooking the neighbouring funeral directors and a neighbouring residential property on Broad Lane.

The car park, next to Full Circle Funeral Directors, where the houses will be built.

As reported by WLD in September, the car park area was sold by Leeds City Council for £179,000 at an auction run by Pugh.

The council has been looking to sell off land in a bid to raise money to stabilise its finances.
