Back in September 2016 Arthur Wood had a cardiac arrest while running at Bramley parkrun.

Fortunately they had an automated external defibrillator and a few off-duty medical staff, who successfully saved his life.

Since then his running shoes have been curtailed slightly, but he’s definitely not hanging them up yet.

Yesterday at Bramley Park Arthur ran his 250th parkrun in just over 36 minutes, with his daughter, Stacey Kite, four grandchildren and son-in-law, and seemingly a cast of thousands from his running club, Pudsey Pacers supporting him.

Arthur will be marshalling at the forthcoming Pudsey Legal 10k on the 19th June.
