Do you know a ‘good egg’ who’s been making a difference in their community?
You know, someone who goes that extra mile without ever getting the recognition they deserve? Well now’s your chance to say big ‘thank you’ to them.
They don’t have to be a lifesaver – they could be someone who does the little (but important) things in life, like doing the shopping for an elderly neighbour who can’t get out, or a local shopkeeper who’s gone above and beyond during the pandemic.
Nominees could range from someone who picks up litter in streets, works tirelessly as part of a local community group, or volunteers their time to make a difference where they live without wanting anything in return. In fact, anything that shows generosity of spirit!
Your chance to say thank you to your ‘Good Eggs’ today
Today we’re re-launching our search for West Leeds Dispatch Good Eggs, which recognise the good work people do in their communities.
You may remember we originally ran Good Eggs a couple of years ago, with nominees including a Bramley locksmith with incredible generosity and a ‘can do’ attitude, a Farnley Reservoir campaigner, and a woman who gives so much by running Pudsey’s community ukulele band.
Your ‘good egg’ nominee doesn’t have to have changed the world – they just need to be making a little difference to someone else in West Leeds.
Nominees will receive a WLD ‘Good Egg’ certificate – and an article on our website giving them the recognition they deserve.
