Volunteers who help improve Burley Park are meeting for their AGM on Tuesday – and anyone interested in joining them is invited to attend.
The Friends of Burley Park AGM is held at the Cardigan Centre, on Tuesday evening (2 July, 6.30pm).
As well as electing officials, the AGM real look at possible future projects, including the cricket pitch, plantings, a mural and next year’s 125th anniversary of the park.
An agenda for the meeting is available here.
The Friends’ current Secretary is standing down, so people are encouraged to stand for that role, or for any of the other rolls ion the committee.
Membership of the Friends is open to anyone who lives near or uses Burley Park and decisions at the AGM are approved by a simple majority of those in attendance. A copy of their constitution can be downloaded via this link.
