Fulneck School has announced its new Head Boy and Girl for the 2018/2019 academic year.
Angus Li and Christina Pullin are both boarders at the independent school in Pudsey and said they are looking forward to taking up their new roles in September.
Angus arrived at Fulneck from Hong Kong in Year 9 with the minimum level of English but has since made great strides in learning the language. He said:
“It is a huge honour to be made Head Boy. I want to be sociable and approachable and use my experience to ensure other pupils grasp the many opportunities which are available to them at Fulneck.”
Christina is approaching her ninth year at Fulneck and said:
“It means such a lot to be appointed Head Girl. Teachers and pupils are both involved in the decision making process so it is humbling that they feel I am suitable for the role. I intend to make them proud and repay the faith they have shown in me.”
Ian Harrison, Head of Sixth Form at Fulneck, welcomed the appointments. He added:
“Angus and Christina are exemplary students who have clearly flourished during their time at Fulneck.
“They have both played a major part in school life I am confident they will lead the student body well and represent the whole school in a positive way.”
