Donations can be made to support the work of a group of volunteers aiming to make Pudsey a blooming nicer place to live.
The Pudsey in Bloom group is run by a small but dedicated team of volunteers who last year earned to town a silver gilt award from Yorkshire in Bloom judges.
This year the town is going for gold – but people who are unable to help the group by volunteering for planting and weeding duties can still contribute to the cause.
A spokesperson said:
“We receive a small amount of funding from the council each year. This covers the cost of the installation of hanging baskets and some of our watering costs.
“Other finances we raise from discretionary grants, business sponsorship and fundraising activities. Forming our “Friends” group is another means of increasing our income stream.”
Pudsey in Bloom is asking for £5 a year – or more if you can manage it. You can dowload a donation form here.
Pudsey in Bloom helps the town to look brighter throughout the year and also encourage community pride.
