Curiouser and curiouser Leeds Libraries are offering young Lego fans in West Leeds – and across the city – a free activity to enjoy in their own home during the Easter holidays.
‘Lego in Wonderland’ is a downloadable adventure pack, featuring Lego challenges, riddles, games and papercrafting based on Lewis Carroll’s classic, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
Although the pack doesn’t include Lego, it does re-create an interactive escape room scenario that requires minimal building blocks, beginning with an introductory video from the Mad Hatter and March Hare.
Activities include creating a Lego sundial for the White Rabbit, a game of riddles with the Mad Hatter and constructing a lawn croquet game with playing cards.
Details on how to receive an adventure pack can be found here and any young master builders who complete all the tasks will gain access to a secret video.
There is also a reading list to accompany the activity available here, which includes physical books, e-books, e-audio books and e-comics.
The release of ‘Lego in Wonderland’ lasts the full length of the Easter holidays (Apr 2nd-18th), so you can complete it in your own time – you’ll be grinning from ear to ear like the Cheshire Cat by the end of it!
Leeds Libraries are currently open for Order and Collect reserved books, ordering and collecting Selection Bags and limited pre-booked PC use.
